And, as if by magic, another young Reds star that has Aidy Ward as his new agent is being linked with Manchester City. The young striker has been in the wings at Anfield for what appears to be years but has yet to make any kind of impact on the first team but he may not get the chance, if reports are to be believed.
According to the Daily Mirror Man City have been scouting recent U21s games, apparently keeping tabs on the 19 year old who looks like he will almost certainly be on his way in the summer.
The youngster is highly thought of at Anfield but the move to take Ward on as his agent seems a good indication that he feels his future is elsewhere, particularly after the problems with Raheem Sterling’s transfer 6 months ago leaving such a sour taste in the mouth of club and fans alike.
While it will be a blow for Liverpool to lose such a talented young star, the fact that the Red currently have four international strikers on their books, as well as a number of attacking players that can double-up as a forward, means that Sinclair is unlikely to get a chance. And if City’s record with talented English players is anything to go by, he may get even less time at the Etihad.
As we’ve said though, this is all just conjecture at this point. Things may get much more interesting though once the January transfer window opens. Watch this space.
