Four January Targets For LFC

The Dortmund defender would be a top signing for Klopp

1. Neven Subotic (Borussia Dortmund)

Hardly a shock that the Dortmund rumours continue to surround Klopp and this week Liverpool have apparently been working on a deal to bring centre-back Neven Subotic, a player who figured under Klopp at Dortmund and Mainz, to Anfield on loan for the rest of the season, perhaps with a view to a permanent move.

Subotic has been linked constantly to Liverpool since Klopp arrived, and at 27 remains a viable purchase for the long-term. The Serbian would add quality and stability to a defence that remains vulnerable, lacking leadership and, crucially at the moment, injured.

Moreover, he is already immersed in Klopp’s tactics so there would be less time needed to adjust to life at Liverpool. Seemingly third-choice at Dortmund, Liverpool could perhaps acquire Subotic for a reasonable fee at the end of the season, should he arrive on loan this January.
