5. 1995 Final – Liverpool 2-1 Bolton
Not the most illustrious of finals or wins, but it was one of very few moments of joy throughout the nineties and remains the only competition that the ever popular Roy Evans won as manager.
That said, despite the decade being known as much for the serious wane of LFC, the game saw some genuine Liverpool legends take the field, with the likes of John Barnes, Ian Rush and Steve McManaman all involved.
The Reds took the trophy courtesy of two Steve McManaman goals, in what was a much less tight affair than the scoreline suggests. Macca also took the man of the match award on the day and wrote his name into Liverpool legend along the way.
