For many Liverpool fans the novelty of having Jurgen Klopp as manager still hasn’t worn off. Many can still be seen walking around in a dream-like state, and the near-magical hold the 48 year old has over the majority of the Reds’ fan-base increases by the week.

And for Klopp himself, the club – and city – are making him feel right at home. Something that will certainly be music to fans’ ears as the German prepares himself and his players for the run-in over the next couple of months.

Speaking to the German media/press, Klopp said: “The surroundings are fantastic. To live right at the seaside has advantages, but also disadvantages – looking at the weather.

“You can lead a fantastic life here. People are used to my face right now where I live, and you wouldn’t believe but, as a Premier League manager, life is pretty normal in England.”

The first few weeks after Klopp’s arrival were a bit of a whirlwind, for both manager and fans, with the effervescent manager often spotted at various restaurants and watering holes. But after settling in on Merseyside, locals have now accepted him as one of their own, and the former Borussia Dortmund coach is usually left to enjoy his time with family and friends.

But mixing with the locals will undoubtedly have it’s advantages, particularly when it comes to improving his English and picking up the colloqialisms and the Reds’ manager feels he still has some way to go. He continued: “I still can’t express myself like I want to do.

“But it’s getting better, particularly the understanding part.

“That’s incredibly helpful in all the talks I have to hold. I feel completely content in my work here.”

With a huge tie coming up next week against his former side, Klopp will be hoping that he gets his internationals back in one piece but with life in Liverpool looking good for Jurgen, he has a good basis from which to work his magic.
