Liverpool and Everton are both interested in Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, according to France Football.

The French magazine says that there three possible destinations for the French international with the Reds, Everton and Spanish side Villarreal all vying for the 31 year old’s signature.

The keeper is out of contract at the Stade Velodrome this summer after spending nine years at the Ligue One side. During his time, he has made over 300 appearances for the French club being a regular in the starting line up from the 2007/08 season until the end of last campaign.

He has won the Ligue One goalkeeper of the year award four times, including this season, and has 21 caps for France despite having to play second fiddle to Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris for the majority of his career.

With the Reds already signing one keeper, Loris Karius from Mainz for £4.7million, it does seem unlikely that Jurgen Klopp would attempt a move for another.
