Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik was asked in an interview by Polish website SportoweFakty about the club’s rumoured to be showing interest in him.

Liverpool, Leicester, Everton, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Lazio and Olympique Marseille and Sevilla have all been linked with the player in recent months and the 22 year old replied:

“I have read a lot about, but half of those clubs I hear for the first time (associated with me at least). Sevilla? Yes, that’s a nice club in a fantastic competition. I also can’t hide that the Spanish league is my favourite.”

“I’m a big fan of not only Spanish football, but also of the country. I love the local cuisine, the weather, the language. But I do have to add that I don’t choose a club based on that sort of thing. I am a professional and choose the best sporting opportunities. But in the football, there is not much better than La Liga.”

Pressed further on his future, Milik said he doesn’t want his agent talking to him about a potential transfer until after Euro 2016, he wants to be fully focused on Poland

“Right now I do not think at all about a transfer, I am totally not interested. I told my agent to inform me about serious offers only at the end of the European Championship, I don’t want to hear it. I do not want it to distract me. I wanted to finish the season in the Netherlands and then concentrate on the European Championship. I’m going to do so now.”

Milik has been in excellent form this season with 23 goals and 8 assists in 38 matches in all competitions. He is expected to leave the Dutch club after they drew 1-1 on the last day of the season against De Graafschap giving the league title to rivals PSV Eindhoven. The striker has been named in Poland’s provisional 28 man squad for the European Championships in France by managerĀ Adam Nawalka.
