Ante Coric could be sent out on loan to Jurgen Klopp’s old club Mainz if he signs for Liverpool, according to Croatia newspaper 24sata. Talks are believed to be taking place over the €15million transfer of the Croatia winger with his club Dinamo Zagreb.
The 19 year old has also been interested Chelsea and Manchester City in addition to the Reds but Coric’s representatives are believed to be most impressed with Liverpool’s offer.
Reds boss Klopp is said to have six DVDs of matches featuring Coric and is keen on signing the player. If he does join Liverpool, 24sata reports the German manager wants the Croatian international to be part of the Reds tour of the United States, and he would like to see the teenager in action in friendlies against Chelsea, Milan and Barcelona before deciding to include him in the first team for next season. If he doesn’t make the grade, he would like the player to move to Germany with his old club Mainz.
