Napoli and AC Milan’s interest in Croatian winger Marko Pjaca has been officially confirmed but it seems neither club are close to signing the 21 year old at the moment.

Since his performances at the European Championships in France, interest in Pjaca has increased markedly with a number of European clubs, including Liverpool ,all said to be in the running for the player’s signature.

Dinamo Zagreb’s president Mirko Barisic told Sportske Novosti (quotes translated by Football-Italia.net) that Napoli have bid €35m for Pjaca and team mate Marko Rog but they have not accepted the bid:

“It’s true that Napoli want Pjaca and Rog. It is also true that their offer is worth €35m. However, there is no agreement, as there are still obstacles.”

Pjaca’s agent Marko Naletilic told itasportpress.it that AC Milan are also following the winger but there are other European clubs interested too:

“Milan are after Pjaca, although the player is also being followed by other great European clubs.”

It looks as though the in demand winger has many suitors but his club are believed to be holding out for €20million or more. Whether the Reds are still interested after signing Sadio Mane from Southampton for £30m, we will have to wait and see.
