Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia’s agent Jonathan Maarek has told Tuttomercatoweb that his client is “happy” at Inter Milan despite falling out of favour under manager Frank De Boer.

De Boer substituted Kondogbia after 28 minutes in the match against Bologna and stated after the game that he was frustrated with the player’s inability to follow instructions and play the ball simply. The player’s situation led to speculation in the Italian media about a loan move to Liverpool in the January transfer window but when asked about Liverpool specifically, Maarek did not confirm or deny it:

“Kondogbia is definitely a high level player. He has great qualities and is very young, it is obviously normal that several teams are interested.”

Kondogbia joined Inter for £25million from Monaco in July 2015 and was a regular under previous manager Roberto Mancini last season. He still has played four of seven league matches so there is a certainly no indication he will be frozen out at the Serie A side. Whether he fits De Boer’s style of play is the bigger question and whether the Dutchman will last long enough to consider letting the Frenchman leave the club in January is another. Inter have already lost twice this season and sit ninth in the Serie A table.
