Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is not keen on moving to Ligue One side Lille, according to French media reports. Online news site Boursorama say the French defender would most likely reject a move to the French club.
Lille are currently in takeover talks with businessman Gerard Lopez, and his representative Luis Campos is believed to have already targeted a number of signings including Sakho, Besiktas midfielder Ricardo Quaresma, Lyon’s Clement Grenier and Chelsea’s Nathaniel Chalobah.
Sakho is almost certain to depart the Reds in January after the centre back was overlooked to play in the EFL Cup tie against Tottenham on Tuesday night despite Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp including a number of Under 23 players in the starting lineup versus Spurs.
Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain have also been suggested destinations but as it stands there doesn’t seem to be a leading candidate with the Frenchman not keen on moving to Lille.
