Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is targeting a move for another Bundeliga defender in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah, according to the Mirror.

The Reds boss signed two centre backs from the German league in the summer with Joel Matip signing from Schalke 04 and Ragnar Klavan from Augsburg, but it seems that Liverpool could be tracking the 20 year old German international to reinforce the club’s centre back options.

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is expected to depart the club in January after failing to regain his place in the team since his falling out with Klopp during the tour of the United States in the summer. West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City seem to be frontrunners currently for the 26 year old’s signature. That would free up space for another centre half in the squad.

Tah already has two senior caps for Germany and has become a regular fixture in Roger Schmidt’s Leverkusen side since his arrival from Hamburg in 2015.
