Liverpool are tracking Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt, according to Melissa Reddy at goal.com. We reported last week that the Reds were scouting the 20 year old after German newspaper Express mentioned the Jurgen Klopp had been keeping tabs on the German international.
Reddy says that Brandt is one of a number of targets “under consideration” by the Reds boss to fill in the wide positions. With Sadio Mane departing for the African Cup of Nations in January, Klopp feels he lacks options on the wings, leading to speculation about a number of possible signings.
Spartak Moscow Quincy Promes is another potential option, according to James Pearce in the Liverpool Echo, while Sardar Azmoun and Christian Pulisic have been mentioned.
Iranian international Azmoun plays up front for FC Rostov so may not be a prime target while Pulisic could well sign up to a new deal with his current club Borussia Dortmund.
Another option maybe Lorenzo Insigne whose contract situation at Napoli has fuelled speculation about a move to Anfield.
