It’s almost time for another potential title decider this season as we host Manchester City at Anfield on New Year’s Eve.

We’re already getting excited for this one as the atmosphere at our famous old stadium is set to be electric as we welcome Pep Guardiola and his men from down the East Lancs Road.

Whilst Man United are, of course, our main rivals from Manchester, City have become more prominent in recent seasons and look the more likely of the two to challenge for the title this year.

Of course, we’re looking to do just that as well and with Chelsea aiming to profit from a slip-up from either of us or the Citizens, we need to make sure we make home advantage count.

This game will complete the first half of the season which has been full of bright moments and things to celebrate and a win here would cap it off nicely.

It’s going to be a tight game, then, and we reckon this 4-3-3 should take the three points on Saturday…
