According to French outlet Le 10 sport, the Reds have made a concrete approach for Monaco’s powerhouse Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The midfielder has really burst onto the scene this season in Ligue 1 with the side from the principality well in with a chance of the title.
They’ve also impressed in the Champions League, too, and Bakayoko’s marauding runs have been a vital part of that with the way he can drive forward and batter players out of the way.
Certainly, the Reds could do with that kind of force in midfield with our squad looking short in a number of areas but we may not have it all our own way with him.
The report suggests Arsenal are also keen on the midfielder whilst The Independent has referred to the fact that Chelsea and Manchester City have also got an interest in him.
We could be in for quite a battle, then, Reds, but from what we’ve seen we reckon we should go for him.
