We’re getting the distinct feeling that Julian Brandt is going to be the main name linked with the Reds in the lead-up to the summer and throughout it.
The young German forward has set the Bundesliga alight in recent times with performances that far out-strip his young age and he certainly seems set for an exciting future.
We’re repeatedly being linked with him, too, though it appears we’re going to have serious competition for his signature.
The Daily Mail has recently accredited us with interest in the Bayer Leverkusen man but they also reckon Real Madrid are keen on the exciting German.
It’s the kind of company we want to be mixing with once again from next season, too, and so beating Madrid to Brandt’s signature would surely set our stall out early on for 2017/18.
It remains to be seen exactly what happens, but hopefully Jurgen Klopp will prove the key factor in this one.
