Things have taken a welcome turn in recent times if you’re a Liverpool player in general thanks to the win over Spurs and the training camp they’re now on.

This weekend sees the FA Cup 5th round take centre stage – something the Reds are, of course, missing out on thanks to our loss at home to Wolves last month.

But, without wanting to dwell on that too much, it has allowed the squad to fly off to La Manga to train in some warmer climes – something many sides seem to be doing at this time of year.

We’re certainly envious of that as we largely celebrate when the mercury gets into double figures in this country at the moment but spare a thought for Dejan Lovren.

Whilst his team-mates are away he’s had to stay behind thanks to his continued injury recovery (as per The Mirror) – something that kept him out of the win at Spurs and loss at Hull City prior to that.

Hopefully, though, when the group get back together they’ll be ready to kick on in their challenge for the top four.
