Mamadou Sakho finally left the club in January as he joined Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season.
We spent the whole window pretty much wondering whether or not the French defender would move on and we eventually got our answer as he donned a blue and red shirt on Deadline Day.
To be honest, though he’s been a cult hero in recent times it’s probably for the best that he’s left the club – at least temporarily – so we can all assess the situation in a few month’s time.
Hopefully by then Jurgen Klopp will know exactly what to do with him and it appears in light of his pre-match presser for Hull City that he may actually want to keep the defender after all.
“This isn’t the moment for me to give advice to Mamadou Sakho. If I give him advice, I’ll do it personally and not on the TV.
“Who knows what happens in half a year? We’ve already felt what changed in the space of a month.
“I think he should concentrate on the job at Crystal Palace, we’ll concentrate on the job we’re doing here.
“In this moment he’s on loan and still has a contract at Liverpool. The loan is a solution for this moment. We can wait for new impressions and see what happens.”
