It may still only be February and the last transfer window has only been closed for ten days but try telling that to the incessant rumour mill continuing to grind on.
Indeed, the amount of transfers getting talked about at the moment makes you wonder if it ever really does stop and after a poor January in terms of business – we’re getting touted for a lot of moves.
One of the latest, too, is involving the rapid young winger Inaki Williams who is forging quite the reputation for himself at Athletic Bilbao.
He’s got trickery and raw power so he could have a similar impact to Sadio Mane and, it appears, he is aware of our interest.
Speaking to Spanish outlet Sportium the 22-year-old said:
“Lots of things are coming out in the news but I am calm.
“If they are looking at me it’s because I’m doing things well. I’m very lucky.
“If tomorrow I had to leave I would always be very honest with Athletic. They’ve given me everything.”
To us that sounds like he would be tempted by a move away from Bilbao and from what we’ve seen of him we think he’d be a pretty decent acquisition.
