At last, we can write about Liverpool winning a game again.
After a terrible few weeks that have seen the Reds fall out of contention for all the competitions they were in this season, things have finally turned around after a win against Spurs last night.
It was a performance that rolled back the months to when we were in our pomp as fresh legs and minds had obviously returned to the squad and left Tottenham wanting.
We raced out of the blocks at Anfield and really should have been out of sight before half-time – having instead to make do with just the two goals from the superb Sadio Mane.
And, despite our inability to really put the game to bed, Spurs never really looked like punishing us in a display that will send out a statement to the rest of those challenging for the top four.
The smiles are back, then, and here’s three things we learned about the Reds from this one…
