Speaking to FulhamFCTV (via The Express,) Ryan Sessegnon has moved to address the rumours surrounding his future at the moment.
The 16-year-old left-back – who can also play further up the pitch – has been very impressive this season with him regularly featuring for the Cottagers in the Championship this season.
Indeed, he’s contributed at the sharp end, too, with Fulham well in with a chance of returning to the Premier League next season and so his potential really does know no bounds.
He could be a real star, then, but at the moment he doesn’t seem to interested in a move away from London.
He said:
“I am a Fulham player, this is my club, I love being at this club.
“The opportunities I have had this season have been great and on a personal note I just want to help the team gain promotion to the Premier League where we belong.
“I don’t pay too much attention to it [the talk in the press] I just focus on one job and that is playing for Fulham.”
He looks settled for the moment, then, and we think it might be hard for a team to prise him away right now.
We could see a deal in the future for the player, though, or an agreement put in place for us to sign him when he turns a certain age and, with his talent, we’d certainly be happy with something like that sorted out.
