As quoted by Football365 and speaking to the BBC’s Premier League Show, Joe Hart has revealed he is no longer going to fight for his career at Manchester City.
The England international is currently out on loan with Serie A club Torino after he had it made clear to him he would not be part of Pep Guardiola’s plans at the Etihad this season.
Whether that was the right decision or not, in light of City’s ‘keeper woes this season, is really up for debate but we certainly won’t mind if he comes to Anfield.
Indeed, he’s been repeatedly linked with the Reds by the likes of Tuttosport via The Express, and so his words are obviously of interest to us.
He said:
“I’m up for a fight – I’ll fight my corner all day – but if you’re not going to win then there is no point in fighting, especially someone as powerful as that at Manchester City.”
We’d certainly take him, then, and hope that all these rumours are more than just that.
