The Reds received a rather bittersweet weekend as our win over Burnley was tainted by the loss of Jordan Henderson for at least the game against Manchester City.

It was another treacherous fixture against the Clarets as we once again struggled to overcome a side lower down the league – needing goals from Gini Wijnaldum and Emre Can to bail us out.

Indeed, it could have been a better performance but at least we can take away from it the fact that we can win ugly and our midfielders can chip in with goals – especially with the skipper now on the sidelines.

He’s out of the City game, too, as Jurgen Klopp revealed via the club’s official website in saying:

“That’s how it is. He cannot train, he for sure cannot play against City and it makes sense that he is doing the rehab.”

A blow for the Reds, then, but with Emre Can at least scoring at the weekend we’re hoping he’ll be able to fill Hendo’s role for now.
