One of the top flight’s most enduring fixtures occurs again this weekend as we host Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday evening.
It’s a match-up that has thrown out some great contests over the years with both sides looking back on the fixture fondly.
The most recent meeting, though, has to be one we look back on with the bigger smiles as we ran out 4-3 winners at the Emirates on the opening day.
We were superb in many ways during that match, too, and a repeat of that this weekend – particularly after Monday’s loss – would surely be more than welcome.
We really do need to get three points here to get our Champions League challenge back on track but with Arsenal having the same ambition, it’s going to be a keenly fought contest.
