According to The Mirror, Liverpool are ready to battle Chelsea and Manchester City for the signature of Benjamin Mendy.
The young left-back has been very impressive this season for Monaco, with the French side looking good to win the Ligue 1 title.
Indeed, they are certainly dark horses in the Champions League, too, and so naturally their players are going to be linked with moves away.
Mendy, then, could just be one of the players to leave the principality team and it appears that the Reds could be looking to get him in to help solve our problem left back area.
Indeed, we cannot really carry on with James Milner in this role but it seems as though we’re going to have to work hard to beat both Chelsea and City to his signature.
