According to Gazetta dello Sport (via The Metro,) Manchester United are leading the way to sign Ivan Perisic – ahead of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The left winger is very direct in his playing style and could be on the move from Inter Milan in the summer with it evident there are plenty of clubs interested.
Certainly, he’s got some talent, make no mistake about that, and would add width to our attacking dynamic but when you hear the price tag being touted you do get the feeling we’re better off elsewhere.
Indeed, he will apparently cost £51 million and for that kind of money you surely want a world beater rather than someone who is just decent.
That seems to be the way United conduct their transfer business, though, and so who are we to get in their way for the Croatian international?
