Speaking to Sky Sports recently, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has revealed the latest over the potential moving of Inaki Williams to Liverpool.
The Reds have seen just what added pace and directness can do for our attack out wide with Sadio Mane proving one of the signings of the season in the Premier League.
However, he’s about the only player of his type we have at the club and when he is out injured – as he is now – we certainly miss that extra dynamic.
Inaki Williams, then, would be an ideal person to bolster that particular area but, whilst Balague has said we are interested, it also seems like nothing is imminent just yet.
He said:
“He was followed by Liverpool and has a €50m buyout clause. I’m not sure any team would be willing to pay that right now because he has not proved that valuation.
“He is in no rush but he is certainly looking abroad should he move.”
Time, then, will only tell with this one but if we can strike a deal for a bit less than that clause then we personally think it would be worth a go.
