Speaking to the press yesterday, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Jordan Henderson is nowhere near playing for the club at the moment – with the suggestion that his season could be over.

The skipper has been out for sometime since getting injured ahead of the game with Leicester a couple of months ago.

Indeed, it’s been a season where he has had to battle injury, too, and that has been a worry for us with him being our most proficient passer in the middle of the park.

It could mean now, though, that we are without him for the rest of the season and so it is going to be up to the likes of Emre Can and Gini Wijnaldum to see that that doesn’t derail our top four chances.

Klopp said when asked if it was season over for Hendo (as quoted by The Liverpool Echo🙂

I don’t know, we will see.

“In this moment he cannot really train so we have to wait for that moment. That’s been the plan since the beginning. Of course we are in intense talks to different departments, the medical department of course. He is already not patient.”
