It’s come out in recent days, yet again, that the Reds are looking into the possibility of signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal in the summer.

Indeed, with the Gunners once again struggling for form at the sharp end of the league many have suggested that a big turnover in players is on the way and The Telegraph reckons we could make a £35 million move for the midfielder.

Indeed, when we first saw this fee we were in the majority to balk at it given that he’s not really done much to help Arsenal’s cause but, then again, his stats suggest that perhaps we should be more open to the idea.

Certainly the numbers coming from Squawka suggest that ‘The Ox’ does have an impact when he plays with him getting better numbers in certain areas over 90 minutes than Sadio Mane.

He beats our winger in terms of assists, chances created, successful take-ons and pass completion per 90 minutes and, whilst he has of course played less this season, perhaps we should entertain this idea a bit more.
