It really is time that FSG and Liverpool start signing top quality players ready for the present.
It’s been abundantly clear for some time, of course, but after we started the game against Stoke with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn on the pitch, it’s become even more pressing.
Of course, that sounds harsh on the youngsters but at the end of the day they are only young players and so to expect them to step up and make a difference seems unfair.
What we need, then, is players that can come straight into the first team as well as those that can come straight in and perform even if they’re not in the side to start with.
