The Premier League is back and we were the opening act this weekend as we faced Everton at Anfield in the Merseyside Derby.
And it was the Reds who once again secured the bragging rights after a superb display that completely outclassed the men from across Stanley Park.
Indeed, from the get-go we looked set for a high-paced affair and things really got going when Sadio Mane squeezed home.
Everton managed to get back into it, of course, but the Reds restored their lead quickly and deservedly through Philippe Coutinho who was class on the day.
Divock Origi would come on to make it 3-1 and that would be how it would finish – with smiles on most of the faces in a packed Anfield.
