There’s a real sense of pride around the Reds at the moment after their latest victory over Everton – even though it did come at a cost.
Whilst the Toffees tried to kick seven bells out of the Redmen once they’d realised they couldn’t get near our players, we went about our business in classy fashion to put them away.
Indeed, the likes of Emre Can and Dejan Lovren were lucky to escape without injury but Sadio Mane did pick one up – although in less malicious circumstances compared with some of what went on.
He’s set for a spell on the sidelines, then, which is of course a blow for us – especially with our short looking squad.
We’ve been thinking how we could get around it, then, and these are the two somewhat left-field ideas we came up with…
