As quoted by the club’s official website, Jurgen Klopp has said that Roberto Firmino is going to be a possibility to play in the Reds’ final game of the season against Middlesbrough.

The Brazilian forward has been out of action with a muscle issue of late and missed the win over West Ham last weekend.

He has, however, been training and it appears as though he does have the chance to start at the moment – though he does have another fitness test to go through.

Klopp said:

“[It’s] very positive.

“We could not decide until now, but he feels good and he feels comfortable. He did a lot of things, but was not part of team training. That’s not a problem after this long season.

“I think we will make a final test tomorrow. In this moment, I would rather say ‘yes’ than ‘perhaps’, but I am not sure.”

Good news, then, from the German manager as we head into what is surely going to be our most important game of the campaign against Middlesbrough on Sunday.
