According to The Mirror, Liverpool are closing in on the £25 million signing of Burnley defender Michael Keane ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.
It’s been one of the most persistent stories of this season has this one, and it now looks as though it could be nearing a conclusion.
The Burnley defender has been in good form this year, of course, with him making his first England appearances and is beginning to approach his prime which we should have him for over the next few years.
The deal, then, should go through if the Reds can get in the Champions League for next season with personal terms reportedly already agreed between club and player.
Keane would mark the first signing of the summer window and we’d certainly expect more to follow him in.
