According to The Liverpool Echo, the Reds are not interested in Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas – contrary to other reports that emerged yesterday.
When we first saw this story come to light we were a little sceptical, it has to be said, and it now appears that that is the right way to look at this potential deal.
The Spanish midfielder has been out of favour at Chelsea this season, of course, and is a good player but there would be serious doubts of him adopting Jurgen Klopp’s playing style easily.
It seems, though, that this is no longer something we’ll have to worry about, though, with The Echo saying Anfield officials have rubbished the story ahead of the summer window.
Indeed, the report believes that Naby Keita is a preferred option for Klopp and that would seemingly make more sense.
