According to The Mirror, Liverpool are to make one last ditch attempt at signing Naby Keita from Red Bull Leipzig this summer with a bid of £70 million+.
The transfer had looked as though it was over for this window with many suggesting the Reds would try again next year but it seems as though there is going to be one last throw of the dice.
Indeed, it’s thought that both Jurgen Klopp and the player himself want to see one last push to try and get the deal over the line but, up until now, Leipzig have been determined to keep hold of him.
Certainly, they’ve rebuffed all efforts to try and sign him so far and so that might not bode well for this final bid.
It could, however, prove too tempting to turn down and so it remains to be seen exactly what happens in the coming days.
