According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are now in the battle to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal as he continues to stall on a new contract there.
The England international has been linked with the Reds for some time but nothing has come of it and now, if we still want him, it looks like we’ll have to take on the current Premier League champions.
For sure, the Stamford Bridge club have plenty of pulling power for the man dubbed ‘The Ox’ but in Jurgen Klopp, the Reds have a manager who is a well-known admirer of the player.
And, if he can use that to his advantage, there’s every chance he’d make the move up north for the new campaign.
It does seem, though, that this deal is far from certain from going through and so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
