According to The Times, the Reds have been given a further boost in the chase for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with him reportedly snubbing the chance to sign a contract with Arsenal.
The speculation over the England international’s happiness at the club has been rife in recent times with many suggesting that the Reds are poised to try and bring him in.
It looks as though he’s ready to run the last year of the deal down, too, and leave on a free next summer so the Gunners may be eager to try and get some money for him now.
For sure, then, this is a boost for our club if we do want to go for him as it means we can make a take it or leave it offer to the club in the knowledge that we should be able to get him for nothing next summer.
