According to Yahoo Sport, Southampton are more open to selling Virgil van Dijk to Chelsea or Manchester City than Liverpool.
This transfer saga has taken plenty of twists and turns over the summer and most of them have gone against Liverpool ever since it looked as though we were going to get him.
Indeed, there’s no need to re-go over what happened earlier this year in the market but it’s safe to say that it’s still irking the Saints and now Chelsea and City are seemingly in front of the Reds in the queue.
This, then, could just sum up a window that has not delivered what we thought it might have done at the start and the only hope can be that the Dutchman demands that he moves to Liverpool over the other two – something that we have no idea as to whether he’d be inclined to do that.
