According to Bild – via the Daily Star – Thomas Muller turned down a move to Liverpool with him earmarked as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
The German attacker is truly world class but has had a bit of a tough time in recent times with Carlo Ancelotti not always finding a spot for him in his Bayern Munich side.
That, then, led some to think in the summer that he could have moved away and it seems as though the Reds could have been a potential destination.

Indeed, it was in the balance that the Brazilian Coutinho would move on this summer himself – to Barcelona – but Muller’s decision to stay put appeared to have some bearing on us letting our number 10 go.
Certainly, it would have been an interesting chain of events if it had happened.
