The Reds returned to Champions League action last night as we faced Spartak Moscow in the Russian capital on matchday 2 in the group stages.

Going into the game we were keen to see the Reds bounce back from a frustrating draw against Sevilla in which we dominated but, unfortunately, we saw more of the same in this one.

Indeed, despite the Reds dominating much of the game and seeing chance after chance go begging, the result ended up 1-1 on another annoying night.

Of course, it could be far worse with us second in the group and having now got our longest away trip in the group out of the way we can focus on the other four games, with hopefully more wins to come.
