As quoted by ESPNFC, via the kop times, former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has tipped Jurgen Klopp to be sacked in 18 months if things do not progress from where they are now.
Since Klopp has come in we have seen some progress with the Reds now one of the most attacking sides in the league and contenders for the top four once again.
Now, though, we want to see our defence improve and a challenge for the league crown come about and Nicol feels that Klopp has just over a year to try and make that a reality.
If he doesn’t, though, the former Reds defender reckons it’ll be time for a new manager.
He said:
“No (he shouldn’t get sacked at the end of the season)
“But I would suggest that the following season, if it’s the same thing, then yes (he should get sacked). Yes (I’d give him 18 months).”
Nicol, then, has a time-frame for Klopp’s success and it remains to be seen if that ends up coming to light.
