According to The Mirror, Liverpool are now the favourites to sign Timo Werner from Red Bull Leipzig after Bayern Munich suffered a blow in their chances.
The Reds have been linked with a fair few of Leipzig’s best players with Naby Keita already arriving next summer for the 2018/19 campaign.
It appears, though, that we might not stop there in trying to sign their players and striker Werner could be next on the list.
The young forward’s playing style does seem to be compatible with the way Jurgen Klopp sets the Reds up and with it arguable we need a new striker, perhaps this one could go through.
None of our strikers are really scoring lots of goals at the moment with Daniel Sturridge on and off the bench and Roberto Firmino a different kind of frontman.
It remains to be seen if Klopp acts.
