Liverpool progressed to the final 16 of the Champions League in fine style last night as we beat Spartak Moscow 7-0 in front of a fine Anfield crowd under the floodlights.
The Reds knew that a win over the Russian side would see us progress as group winners and we certainly achieved that as we hammered the side from their nation’s capital.
Early goals from Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino helped set the win up and now we can get excited about the draw in the next few days to see who we’ll face in the knockouts.
There’s a few sides we can’t face, of course. We can’t face any from the Premier League, nor Sevilla as they were in our group.
Finally, we can only face the runners-up remaining from who went through and so the list of potential opponents is as follows:
