According to reports, Liverpool have decided against letting Ben Woodburn leaving on loan with clubs like Sunderland set to now miss out on the player.
We saw a fair bit of the young attacker last season – particularly in cup games – but so far this season we haven’t really seen as much of him.
For sure, though, he’s still got plenty of talent with his games for Wales underlining that this year and that is why Chris Coleman wanted him to go to Sunderland on loan.
It appears, though, that the club is not going to let that happen now and the young Welshman appears set to remain on Merseyside for now.
Jurgen Klopp does appear to often like young players to stay put and develop within the club and so it remains to be seen if we see more of Woodburn in the rest of the campaign.
