In the latest of a series of interviews with Liverpool’s official website, Joe Gomez has revealed how Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s attributes make him someone you do not want to face.
The Reds have been going along nicely this season in the Premier League and are in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has really started to kick on as a player this season with him signing as recently as the start of the season, too, and Gomez feels that his pace and power make him someone that opponents will not relish facing.
Gomez said:
“He has shown that already by playing in the three in midfield or in the front three. In both positions he is not someone you want to come up against; he is so powerful, his speed and strength are always a threat.”
Certainly, we saw plenty of that in the game v Manchester City last weekend and we’re hoping for plenty more for the rest of the campaign.
