Lloyd Jones has today left Liverpool permanently to start a new chapter with Luton Town in League Two – as per the Liverpool Echo.

The Reds defender had spent much of his time with the Reds either in the younger sides or out on loan to Football League clubs – suggesting he wasn’t going to make it in the Reds first team.

Of course, he wasn’t ever really given a chance for a run in the side and now he can knuckle down and try and forge a career with the promotion chasing Hatters.

At the moment, the men from Kenilworth Road look like they will be getting into League One for next season and that should give Jones a good chance to play at a decent level.

It’ll be interesting, then, to see how he progresses now he’s finally got his future sorted out.
