The Reds had a pretty quiet transfer window in the end as we saw Virgil van Dijk as the only major arrival during the market.
Though we were obviously pleased to see the Dutchman arrive, we could have perhaps done with another player coming in as Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge left during the window.
Indeed, we perhaps look a little bit short up top but another link in the window saw us rumoured to be interested in goalkeeper Alisson.
With Loris Karius coming in for Simon Mignolet recently, it appears that Klopp still doesn’t really know what he is going to do with his ‘keepers, though the German is number one currently.
Alisson was linked as a replacement, then, but as quoted by Sports Mole, Roma Sporting Director Monchi has said that no bid came in.
He revealed:
“Did any offers come in for Alisson? No.”
