Liverpool’s form in front of goal this season has been incredible, led by the leading trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but it appears that Jurgen Klopp is looking for more.

Despite the sensational performances from the Reds’ attacking trio, Spanish outletĀ Diario GolĀ state that Liverpool have made an approach to Real Madrid regarding a deal for Karim Benzema- who could be on the move this summer.

30-year-old Benzema faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu as president Florentino Perez is eyeing a major rejuvenation this summer, which could see Real Madrid’s famous ‘BBC’ strike force disassembled.

In his eight years with Real Madrid, Benzema boasts a stunning record and signing him to compete with Firmino could prove to be a masterstroke from Klopp, although keeping all four of his exceptional attackers happy would prove to be quite a task.

However, Liverpool will be aware that Mane, Salah and Firmino could all suffer from a burn out after this summer’s World Cup and the Reds do lack some depth in that area.
