There’s been plenty of interest named in newspapers across Europe stating that top sides on the continent are keen on landing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, although it seems another key member of the Reds’ side is also attracting interest.
The Sun sensationally claim that serial Champions League winners Real Madrid are keen on bringing Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to the Santiago Bernabeu if they relieve Zinedine Zidane of his duties this summer.
Real Madrid’s defence of their La Liga crown has been woeful this year, with Los Blancos trailing runaway leaders Barcelona by 14 points, and Zidane could see the axe swung this summer- unless he secures an unprecedented third European crown in a row.
Zidane has led Real Madrid to Champions League glory in each of his two seasons in the Spanish capital and his side, like Liverpool, have one foot in the semi-finals of the competition after their 3-0 victory against Juventus last week.
Klopp, who previously guided Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League final, has shown he’s capable of adapting to different challenges on the continent and that appeals to Real Madrid, which will certainly be a concern for the Reds.
