Liverpool are favourites to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos in the summer, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish rumour mongers says that Real president Florentino Perez believes that selling to the Reds would make the most business sense for the club.

The Reds will receive up to £142m for the transfer of Phillipe Coutinho to Barcelona, and Perez is hopeful that he can strike a good deal with the Merseyside club for Ceballos, considering the funds they have available.

Since moving from Real Betis in the summer, the Spanish Under 21 international has struggled for game time. Don Balon reports the 21 year old wants to leave the Bernabeu at all costs at the end of the season as he isn’t rated by the club’s manager Zinedine Zidane.

Ceballos has not featured for Real since February, when he made a brief substitute appearance in the 1-0 league defeat to Espanyol. In all, the midfielder has started just seven games this campaign for the Spanish giants.
